Rob Ryan: Theory

We had every thing’  October 2012
Rob arrangement is centralised; the theme of German romance with in the centre of the heart and surrounded within the flora and fauna of the countryside, much like a home or sanctuary.
He has cut this piece on large, smooth, thin paper (used for printing the Bible) and later sprays the cut with bold blood red aerosol.
Rob uses a lot of repetition with shapes and figure such as the birds and flowers. Rob describes the reasoning behind this as a love of shape  and figurative forms thus there being no need for him to keep on changing he depicts as perfect.
There is sense of symmetry, though a tad bit off balance as Rob tried to avoid measuring things out, as the branches and heart are almost mirror in form and length.
