Ian Phillip's has always offered inspiration to my own landscape Lino print's as his own have a unique protrial of technique. By basing his ideas from his sketchs, he translates the distinct markings and harsh lines/shapes in to his carving. Very expressive mark making and roughly details so as to highlight the harsh contrasts in natural and organic matter.
